This is the NHL’s second betting partner announcement in the past 10 days as it prepares for the Outdoors Series in Lake Tahoe.
Bally’s and the NHL announced a multi-year partnership, granting Bally’s the title of Official Sports Betting Partner. This is Bally’s first sports betting partnership with the NHL—or any pro sports league.
Bally’s already has a strong portfolio for fantasy sports and free-to-play games. With this partnership, the company will be able to use NHL data and creatives on the own iGaming offerings.
Fans of the NHL and Bally’s, alike, can expect new content integrated into live NHL game coverage. Bally’s is certainly getting a promotional boost with this partnership, as coverage spans across 19 regional sports networks.
George Papanier, president and chief executive officer of Bally’s, states the company’s excited for this new partnership “which represents an important milestone in our strategy to become a leader in the online sports betting and iGaming space.”
Through the partnership, fans will be able to engage with the favorite teams in new and exciting ways.
The first announcement came on February 9th with PointsBet becoming an Official Sports Betting Partner. The transaction gave the NHL equity in PointsBet, an Australian-based company.
With both deals, the NHL will reach even more fans locally and globally with more engaging content. Bally’s will use its partnership with Sinclair Broadcast Group and PointsBet will be able to integrate on NBC Sports.
