Long-standing partners Betsson and Yggdrasil have announced a new arrangement that will see the Maltese operator become a member of Yggdrasil’s YG Masters program.
As the first high profile operator to do so, Betsson will be able to access, create, and distribute iGaming content using Yggdrasil’s innovative GATI technology.
Founded in Sweden in 2013, Yggdrasil Gaming is a provider of online gaming solutions for iGaming operators. Alongside Betsson, they also work with a range of respected operators including GVC, William Hill, Mr. Green, LeoVegas, and Bet365.
Stuart McCarthy, Yggdrasil’s head of partner programs, stated:
We’re thrilled to extend our relationship with Betsson and add them to the YG Masters’ program as the first directly integrated operating partner.
This is a landmark for the initiative and shows just how much a brand like Betsson believes in our unique model, as well as underlining the impact YG Masters is having on iGaming developers and tier-one brands such as Betsson – empowering their content creation and development through our GATI technology and accelerating their growth via our global distribution network.
Betsson gaming product director, Ciara Nic Liam, added to McCarthy’s comments:
We have had an excellent relationship with Yggdrasil for many years and are very pleased to have extended our agreement to include YG Masters.
We have seen the program grow to become a real industry game-changer and it makes perfect sense for us to be involved and take advantage of the huge growth opportunities the program offers, at the same time as we can realize desired business synergy values from expanding the network reach of our innovative and player first developed in-house built games.
The market clearly agreed that the deal was advantageous with shares in Betsson AB (STO:BETS-B) trading 0.44% higher at SEK68.40 per share in Stockholm on Wednesday 7th October.
Yggdrasil operates in a variety of different European countries such as Sweden, the UK, Germany, and Norway. They are highly respected within the industry, winning many notable awards such as Innovator of the Year at the IGA 2019 awards.
One of their most notable initiatives is their publishing programs, which sees operators like Betsson improve their business growth by partnering with Yggdrasil and letting them manage compliance and regulatory aspects.
Access to this program also includes Yggdrasil’s sophisticated GATI (Game Adaptation Tools & Interface) system which enables operators to develop software using a pre-configured, regulation-compliant toolkit that dramatically decreases the amount of time needed to source, build, distribute and promote new content – making extraordinary revenue gains and market expansions a possibility for firms both large and small.
With such a high profile name now on board, expect more industry names to take notice of the YG Masters program.
